10/11/2015 0 Comments Small Update + Theory OneSo, something I forgot to say in my intro, my posts will not be scheduled, they will come as I finish writing them. Now for my first theory involving the future: The future is going to be a great place with mankind learning, exploring, and creating many possibilities for their own futures. Among creating possibilities, is the advancement of technology and making it help ease our workforce and enabling us to do what we want to do, rather than work. And here's where my theory comes into place: As what I have already seen in kids today, they already have their own tablet, their own phone, or they constantly borrow their parents phones for YouTube or Angry Birds. It's great that technology has enabled this for us today, but with Angry Birds and YouTube, kids don't go outside anymore. Yeah, true I don't go outside as often because I have a computer to play with and my friends play with me. But if this keeps up, what would my future be?(I'm participating in school activities). That's not the point. In the past, before I was born, kids went outside to play and have fun. The next generation, mine had Gameboys and Nintendo DSs. Now, they have phones and better computers. I follow up on the latest technology news, and companies are coming up with great ideas, which can be foreseen for the future. But the point is, how will possibly our children act and perform in public / social events? I'm not saying that all kids would be like this, because there are some prefect angels out there. So, with all this technology many kids will just keep wanting that tech and not know how it feels to not have anything to play with other than friends. In other words, they might become impatient when they want something, or they might not know what to do when they don't have technology. I'm not saying that when you have kids you should take away their electronics because I wouldn't want mine to be taken away, but limit them. The way I limit myself is that when at school or outside of home in public situations, I'll most of the time keep my phone off, or try to at least. There are a lot of other outcomes like kids using apps to create amazing imaginative products and using technology as benefit, but the goodness is evened out by the outcomes, such as the personalities of being impatient. That's my opinion on the effect of future technology on kids and their development, comment your opinion down below! I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
